Souls is the inaugural release of the folkwave music artist Tragoe, in collaboration with Aethelwyne of Munknörr on guest vocals.
Musically influenced by new wave and synthpop artists Depeche Mode & Joy Division, as well as folk metal pioneers The HU, Wardruna, and Heilung, the music of Tragoe is performed exclusively with traditional Greek folk instruments.
Critics have described Tragoe’s music as ‘inventive’, ‘dark’, and ‘captivating’.
The music video of Souls is shot in rural Greece. It narrates the metamorphosis of a regular human into Tragoe Damon, through a pagan ritual inspired by the Greek mythology. The narrative of Tragoe will unfold in the upcoming music videos.
The whole album will be released on April 1st 2022.
“It’s really blown me away. I’m going now to listen all over again!”
